Your First Visit
We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this complimentary consultation, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. Your first visit will consist of an examination, a discussion of potential treatment options and an overview of our financial policies. To aid with our diagnosis, we will take orthodontic records at this consultation. If after this consultation you will be starting treatment, we will schedule another appointment for a full set of records to be taken.
Appointments
Your appliances are placed during the first appointment which will last approximately 60-90 minutes. Your adjustment appointments are typically scheduled 4-7 weeks apart and will only last about 15-30 minutes each.
To accommodate as many patients as we can, shorter appointments are scheduled in the afternoon, after school/work. Longer appointments are scheduled in the morning or early afternoon hours so Dr. Lindgren can devote her undivided attention to these patients.
Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you! We want to keep our schedule on track so that no patient has to wait. Please be on time to your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We appreciate your cooperation!
Payment and Office Policies
Cost of Treatment
We will inform you of the cost of treatment after your initial examination. The cost depends on the severity of your orthodontic problem(s). We have many financial arrangements to accommodate your needs.
Fees
We strive to provide affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget! We offer a variety of options, including:
- Fee Discount – This is offered to patients who make full payment at the onset of their treatment. (If you have insurance, this discount will be offered to you if you pay your full remaining balance at the onset of treatment.)
- Extended Payment Plans – To accommodate your financial needs, we can make financial arrangements to extend your payments over the course of treatment.
- CareCredit – We also accept third-party financing through CareCredit.
- VISA and MasterCard – We accept these types of credit card payments.
*Please note: In cases of serious delinquency, we reserve the right to halt treatment. We will, however, work with patients who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties.
Insurance
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Insurance policies vary, so we will review your insurance to determine the appropriate course of action. We prefer that you assign your benefits to our office, and we will inform you of your balance. Once treatment has started, we will file your claims.
Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
